Hi,
thx a lot! It works perfectly now.
You seem to be good in metalic shader development, i'm really bad in texturing so do you have any advice to make a shader like that:

Lilliputien: It appears that some people have issues opening the files in an older version of Maya, such as Maya 2009. The reason is because I created the files in Maya 2010, so the Maya 2010 headers are there. The solution for this is to open the option box under "File > Open Scene" and check "Ignore Version". This will allow you to open the file with an older version. I haven't tested this with Maya 2008, as I don't have 2008, but I have tested it with Maya 2009 and 2010. Let me know if that works for you!

I really want to see how you made them but i always got an erro while opening your files...

Error have occured while reading this scene that may result in data lost.
Please check the script Editor for details.

Do you have any other solution to help me in opening your shaders?

Hi Moon,

Thanks for your comment! I hope you enjoy the shaders! Installation of the shaders is very simple. You can simply open the scene file and whichever shader you wish to use, select that material in your hypershade and then go to File > Export Selected Network in the hypershade panel menu. This will save the shader in its own scene file. Go to your project's scene file and then go to File > Import in the hypershade panel menu. This will import the material. Then simply apply that material to your model.

These shaders are created with the mia_material_x_passes material, so that makes them compatible with Maya's render passes feature found in Maya 2009 and Maya 2010. The reason I chose this material is that I had just upgraded to Maya 2009, so I was learning the render passes feature. Unfortunately, that material isn't available in Maya 2008 and earlier so these shaders won't work.

If there's enough interest, I could duplicate them with a mia_material_x material, making them compatible with Maya 2008.
