About Me
Hello! Welcome to the page that gives you a brief overview of who I am.
I guess you could say that I started my career around 1995 when I created my first website for myself. It wasn’t anything serious, but the more I learned about web design the more I wanted to know.
In 1998, my family moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Oklahoma while I was a senior in high school and I got my first part-time job doing web design and IT work for a local manufacturing company. In 1999, the job went full-time. A couple of years later, I decided to go back to school and learn about 3D animation and post-production. I was named Student Director, as well as being given the Student of the Year Award when I graduated from Multimedia & Digital Communications (MMDC), a program formed by the teachers that are currently developing the world-famous training at Digital Tutors.
After graduation, I did some video editing in Dallas for a little while at a two-man operation. It was just the owner and myself, but I did learn some cool stuff there. I worked there for about six months before moving back to Oklahoma to work for a start-up DVD trading card company. My job duties there grew from some motion graphics work to being in charge of all the DVD authoring, overseeing the website design and development as well as some of the trading card design and motion graphics work.
Unfortunately, the company didn’t work out so I then moved to the capitol of Pennsylvania to work for a production and post-production studio. Although I was initially hired on to be in charge of the 3D work there, after about six months there I was promoted to Lead Producer and was in charge of not only the 3D work but also all the client’s web work, any on-location or in-studio camera work, as well as all work done in the studio’s three recording booths. I worked there for a little over three years.
Currently, I am working under contract for the United States Air Force. My job duties include working working closely with the materials lab engineers to provide realistic recreations and simulations of real-life events in 3D. I also do quite a bit of motion graphics, design and print layout work.
So now you know where I’m coming from in my career. It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since that first job doing web design, but I’ve learned a lot since then and I absolutely love what I do.
